Since this journal doesn't really have much, (it only has one entry as of today) I thought of adding another one!
A random day in my life, its a Friday, April 30, 2021, 10:47am when my mom unintentionally forgot the hot pan with oil on the burner. My entire family were a little pre-occupied in our rooms, with my sisters & I busy with school & lectures, my dad is in his quiet office. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I believe mom stepped out to check the gardener, lo & behold, a fire erupted from our kitchen. None of us realized it at first, but the smell of burning oil has reached our rooms. However, we first ignored the signs, thinking that it was the construction next door that was causing the putrid smell. It was the wild shriek of my mom that brought us running out of our rooms, down towards the kitchen to see the fire eating our cupboards. Thank God we were able to extinguish it quickly with the help of flour & water, and the gas tank didn't burst. The house was saved with only two-thirds of the kitchen damaged. Still, we had a day to think about how close we were into experiencing an all out house fire.
What an adrenaline filled Friday we had. I hope it will never happen again.
That's it! This incident is now recorded in this journal. :D
